Eureka and Leirvik AS have successfully delivered the Hugin Essential Generator Module on the Hugin A platform, marking a big step forward towards the construction of the platform. The module was lifted into position on February 11th.
The 250-ton, A60 fire-rated aluminium module houses the generator along with all essential support and utility systems. Designed and engineered by Eureka, it is built to deliver reliable power to critical offshore systems while meeting strict requirements for safety, maintainability, and operational reliability in harsh North Sea conditions. The use of aluminium contributed to a lighter, more maintainable, and durable solution. This approach supports both timely project delivery and long-term operational performance for offshore and maritime applications.
Leirvik AS was responsible for the mechanical assembly of the module, while Eureka managed system design, generator integration, and testing. The close cooperation between our two companies enabled smooth execution, efficient decision-making, and rapid resolution of technical and practical challenges during the production and installation process.
Eureka is proud of the successful project and of the great cooperation with Leirvik AS.
