We would like to congratulate our apprentice Simen Billingsø on qualifying for the finals of the Norwegian SkillsCompetition 2026 (Yrkes-NM) in Industrial Mechanics.

After a strong performance in the qualification round, Simen secured one of six finalist positions and will compete in the finals held in Kongsberg from 10–12 February 2026.

The Norwegian Skills Competition (Yrkes‑NM) is a national vocational skills championship in Norway, organised by WorldSkills Norway. It brings together apprentices and young professionals from across the country to compete in a wide range of vocational disciplines like industrial mechanics, welding, and more. It’s a key arena for showcasing practical skills and motivating young people in vocational education. Winners often qualify for Norway’s national team and go on to represent the country at international competitions such as EuroSkills and WorldSkills.

We are proud of the dedication and professional skills Simen has demonstrated throughout the competition, and equally proud of the commitment, attitude, and high-quality work he consistently shows in his day-to-day work at our Sørumsand workshop.
